HENDERSON, Nev. – The Henderson Chamber of Commerce will host its monthly network breakfast with guest speaker Brian W. Burton, president and CEO of Three Square, from 7 to 9 a.m. Tuesday, Oct. 15, in the Wingate by Wyndham, 3041 St. Rose Pkwy.
Burton will expand on the topic of the breakfast, “Together, We Can Feed Everyone,” by discussing food access and distribution, sustainability, advocacy and community engagement and showing how Three Square took the complex strategy and streamlined efforts to be as efficient as possible with the various programs they offer. He also will explain how an organization can get involved in the community through giving.
Burton brings more than 20 years of experience in the nonprofit industry to Three Square Food Bank, Southern Nevada’s only food bank. Before coming to the organization, he served as executive director of the Wilkinson Center in Dallas, a nonprofit organization that empowers low-income families to break the cycle of poverty through emergency services including food assistance, education and case management. Burton earned a bachelor’s degree from Ouachita Baptist University in Arkadelphia, Ark., a master of divinity degree in education from Southern Seminary and an MBA from Louisiana State University.
The breakfast is sponsored by BIG TRAFFIC, which provides innovative outdoor advertising solutions. RSVPs, which are required, must be made by Friday, Oct. 11.
