Gordon Silver Honored at 2013 Champions of Justice Awards

Gordon Silver Ltd. is pleased to announce their selection as Nevada Legal Services’ 2013 Pro Bono Law Firm of the Year.Gordon Silver Ltd. is pleased to announce their selection as Nevada Legal Services’ 2013 Pro Bono Law Firm of the Year.  The Champions of Justice award luncheon was held October 23, 2013 at the Las Vegas Country Club.  Kristin Tyler accepted the award on behalf of the firm, and her significant efforts on the Serving Seniors project.

“We are proud of Kristin’s efforts and the firm as a whole,” said Thomas H. Fell, head of the firm’s pro bono efforts.  “We remain deeply committed to providing pro bono services in Nevada.”

Serving Seniors is a free legal assistance clinic for senior citizens organized by Nevada Legal Services in conjunction with the Young Lawyers Section (YLS) of the State Bar of Nevada.  This year’s Serving Seniors event was held simultaneously at two locations in Las Vegas and Pahrump.  Approximately 27 attorney volunteers met with over 150 seniors and advised them on issues related to estate planning, probate and guardianship amongst other matters.  Tyler is the chair of the event on behalf of the YLS and an associate with the law firm of Gordon Silver.

The Champions of Justice Award was created to give recognition to those who significantly support the cause of Access to Justice for all Nevadans.
