Providence and Summerlin also among top in sales -
Mountain’s Edge is the third fastest-selling master-planned community (MPC) in the U.S.
This is according to a report recently released by RCLCO, a national real estate advisory firm. The report indicated the MPC has sold nearly 600 homes from January through June – a 26 percent increase over its 2012 pace.
The two communities with more sales are The Villages (1,614) in Ocala, Fla. and Irvine Ranch (680) in Orange County, Calif. Cinco Ranch in Houston (539 sales) and another Las Vegas community, Providence (461 sales), round out the top five.
Developed by Focus Property Group, Mountain’s Edge is drawing a variety of buyers including families, singles and baby boomers, according to community development manager Jason Thompson. The new residents ”have supported the vision that we’ve created with our development team and homebuilding partners,” he said.
Summerlin, a Howard Hughes Corporation development, is ninth on the RCLCO list with 357 sales through June – 52 percent higher than last year.
