RENO, Nev. – Governor Brian Sandoval has reappointed McDonald Carano Wilson partner Kathleen Drakulich to a four-year term on the Board of the Governor’s Office of Economic Development.

As an attorney, Drakulich represents local, national and international energy and public utility firms in a wide array of regulatory matters, procurement matters, supply and purchase contract negotiations, as well as permitting and construction of renewable energy and fossil fuel facilities.

“Energy is a key industry to Nevada’s economic development, and I am honored the Governor has offered me this opportunity to lend my knowledge and expertise to Nevada’s efforts to continue development in this critically important industry sector,” Drakulich said.

In addition to her role at GOED, Drakulich has served on Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid’s Blue Ribbon Panel on Renewable Energy as well as the State of Nevada Renewable Energy and Energy Conservation Task Force.

GOED was created during the 2011 session of the Nevada Legislature as a result of the collaborative effort between the Nevada Legislature and Governor Brian Sandoval to restructure economic development in the state.
