The Commercial Alliance Las Vegas has named longtime local real estate professional Soozi Jones Walker its CALV Member of the Year for 2013.
CALV President Tedd Rosenstein presented the award to Walker on Sept. 20, during CALV’s eighth annual Commercial Alliance Educational Symposium at the Gold Coast hotel-casino. It was the second industry award recently received by Walker, who was separately named Certified Commercial Investment Member (CCIM) Instructor of the Year.
CALV honored Walker for her years of volunteer work on behalf of the alliance and the industry and for demonstrating what Rosenstein described as “outstanding leadership, dedication and service to CALV, and especially to this year’s symposium.”
Walker, a member of CALV’s board of directors, holds the designations of CCIM and SIOR (Society of Industrial and Office REALTORS). The president and corporate broker of Commercial Executives in Las Vegas, Walker has worked in the local real estate industry since 1979, specializing in commercial real estate since 1986. She is a past member of the board of directors of the Greater Las Vegas Association of REALTORS (GLVAR), where she is a past dean of faculty and has served on its Professional Standards Committee since 1989.
Walker also contributes her time and talents to other professional and community organizations, including the Nevada Association of REALTORS (NVAR), CCIM, SIOR and others.
