Nevdada business news - August 2013: Around the StateClark County Implements 10-digit Dialing and Gets a New Area Code

As of the third of this month, the Public Utilities Commission (PUC) of Nevada has implemented 10-digit dialing. Additionally, next year the PUC will roll out a new 725 area code for the county. According to the North American Numbering Plan Administration (NANPA), the 702 area code will be exhausted by the third quarter of 2014. The PUC approved the new area code in November of last year.

I-11 Study Hits Milestone

The Interstate-11 and Intermountain West Corridor Study, led by the Nevada and Arizona departments of transportation, recently reached a milestone with the completion of the Draft Corridor Justification Report, which is now available online. The report calls for further study of the I-11 and Intermountain West Corridor to enhance transportation infrastructure, economic development and global trade opportunities.
