Las Vegas, NEV. – The Nevada Sesquicentennial Planning Committee has retained The Glenn Group, a Nevada-based marketing communications firm, to provide public relations services to promote the statewide celebration of Nevada’s Sesquicentennial birthday. The agency will work closely with the planning committee to help build awareness and excitement for the celebration and drive the overall strategy of the commemoration.
“We are honored to have been selected to help carry out the Governor’s plan to promote the activities surrounding our State’s 150th birthday,” said B.C. LeDoux, president/partner. “There are already a ton of incredible ideas and initiatives in the works that will help us showcase the unique attributes of our state and all that it offers.”
Through an executive order signed by Governor Brian Sandoval, the Nevada Sesquicentennial Commission has been planning the yearlong celebration set to launch on October 31, 2013 (Nevada Day) culminating on October 31, 2014.
Throughout the year, Nevadans and tourists will be encouraged to participate in more than 150 events, share the state’s heritage through cultural and arts programs and engage in initiatives and activities that make the state of Nevada unique.
