Las Vegas, NV (April 1, 2013) – Lionel Sawyer & Collins is pleased to announce that Sara Almo has joined the Firm’s practice as an associate in the Reno office. As a new member of the Litigation Department, she will have the opportunity to gain a wide variety of experience, working with the diverse number of practice groups within the department and throughout the full-service Firm. A native of Reno, Ms. Almo received her B.A. in Journalism/Advertising in 2007 from the University of Nevada, Reno. In 2010, she was awarded a J.D. from the William S. Boyd School of Law, University of Nevada, Las Vegas. While attending law school, she received several academic awards, participated on moot court teams and was involved with numerous organizations.. Ms. Almo also served as an extern to Judge Elizabeth Gonzalez of the Eighth Judicial District Court. She is currently active in the Northern Nevada Women Lawyers Association and is a member of the Young Lawyers Section of the State Bar and the Washoe County Bar Association. Prior to joining the Firm, she gained experience in civil litigation at a Northern Nevada law firm and also worked with the Nevada System of Higher Education on legal matters. She is admitted to practice before the Nevada Bar, U.S. District Court, District of Nevada, and the U.S. Court of Appeals, Ninth Circuit.
