(Las Vegas) – Vegas PBS announced today that Diana Morgan has been appointed major gifts officer for the television station. In her new position, Morgan will develop and implement strategies to obtain major gifts and estate gifts in support of Vegas PBS’ mission – to improve people’s lives by creating and distributing media content that improves health and education, strengthens community institutions, provide universal access to the arts and foster civic engagement.
Prior to accepting her position with Vegas PBS, Morgan served as director of development for The Gay & Lesbian Community Center of Southern Nevada where she was responsible for soliciting individuals and corporations for The Center’s annual operational fund as well as its capital campaign, Opening New Doors, and securing grant funding from local and national funders. In addition, Morgan conceived and coordinated capital campaign-related major gift cultivation and recognition events, secured local corporate sponsors for fundraising events and upgraded and maintained its constituent database.
Morgan received a Bachelor of Arts in Geography with a Secondary Social Studies Teaching License from the University of North Carolina, Greensboro. She donates her time to the community as a Nevada Gives board member.
