Las Vegas-based Gatski Commercial Real Estate Services celebrated Halloween with a Zombie Apocalypse Community Blood Drive at its office , in partnership with the Red Cross.
Blood donors received drinks from Grouchy John’s Coffee Truck and tickets for UNLV’s Runnin’ Rebels first basketball home game. Many came in costume as part of the Halloween celebration.
Along with the blood drive, Gatski Commercial offered emergency preparedness training, CPR training, first aid training and fire extinguisher training for staff members.
“Gatski Commercial is a great partner of ours,” said Willie Way, territory sales representative, American Red Cross. “The blood drive is really needed especially in the aftermath of Hurricane Sandy with hundreds of blood drives being canceled on the East Coast.”
Frank Gatski, CEO of Gatski Commercial Real Estate Services, said the turnout and community support for the company’s first blood drive exceeded expectations. “Many of our employees donated blood and we were also happy to see many members of the community supporting the blood drive. The emergency preparedness training for our staff was really beneficial. As a commercial real estate company, it’s very important for our team to be trained and prepared.”
The American Red Cross mission is to provide care to those in need. Its network of donors, volunteers and employees share a mission of preventing and relieving suffering, both nationally and internationally. For more information, visit www.redcross.org.
