Shareholder Elizabeth Brickfield elected to State Bar of Nevada Board of Governors

Las Vegas, NV (August 6, 2012) – Lionel Sawyer & Collins shareholder Elizabeth Brickfield has been elected to a second two-year term as a member of the Board of Governors of the State Bar of Nevada. The recently-held elections were to fill four open positions in Clark County and one uncontested election in Washoe County out of the sixteen-member Board. Ms. Brickfield is an active participant in the State Bar of Nevada. In addition to her position on the Board of Governors, she also serves on four sections of the State Bar: as Treasurer of the Elder Law section, Secretary of the Trust and Probate section and as a member of the Tax and Family Law sections.

Ms. Brickfield is a shareholder in the Firm’s Business Law Department. She practices tax and family law, including estate planning, trusts and estates, guardianship matters and probate. Her extensive professional commitments include serving as a member of the Probate, Tax and Family Law sections of the American Bar Association; as a member of the National Academy of Elder Law Attorneys and as a member of the Southern Nevada Council of Estate Planners. She is also a member and former President and Treasurer of the Southern Nevada Association of Women Attorneys. Ms. Brickfield has been honored for the past three years by the Legal Aid Center of Southern Nevada for her dedication as a Pro Bono volunteer. As a recognized authority in her practice areas, she is a noted speaker and has presented probate seminars for the State Bar of Nevada, the Southern Nevada Association of Women Attorneys, and private legal education associations.
